Day One

Jenny and PHIL arrived today. I had no idea Phil was coming so for their first day in Paris we went to a protest.
This time the protest was over school funding or something.
But they did have nice balloons.
And sweet beards.
We got to stand in the street, that was cool.
At republique someone had put beards on the statues.
Phil had a long day.
Pretty ladies and some monument.
Phil loves modern art and lemons.
Who knows?
Punks

Yes, the lady on the left is holding a drumstick.
Cheers! Palais de Tokyo
Oragina, Abe and Phil.
This was bound to happen. Such talent.
Fashion plate.
Tourists.
Balance.
Phil is tall.

Liam breaks it down

Liam explains how he would have created the universe.

I missed him explaining how God should be made of chocolate milk but here are his thoughts on Jesus.

Another pong match

Another lovely day in Paris, another pong match in the park.
Comin at ya.
Whoa
Dylan rides.

This and that

Thursday was book day at E.A.B. Victor Hugo, instead of the requisite uniform the kids could dress as their favorite author or character from a book. Chloe had decided on her character three weeks ago, Liam was indifferent until the day before when he decided the world would end if he couldn't dress up as Elmer the elephant. Luckily he was open to a loose interpretation of Elmer.
Chloe, having recently read Around the World in 80 Days, was Phileas Fogg. A note on the mustache, I don't know if you've ever been mustache shopping but the costume shop near Republique easily had 100 to choose from. We decided not to do the expensive ones made from human hair. Chloe's first choice was roughly the sive of a squirrel and would have covered her from nose to neck and wrapped aroud her head twice.

Thank the Lord Liam didn't insist that we find something patchwork, colorful was good enough for him.
I can't tell you how long it took me to convince him not to wear the mask on the metro.

First Sunday Mars

We went to a museum with orange in the name for our free museum visit. (Musee de l'orangerie) This place is best known for Monet's water lilies. The wait to get in was around 30 minutes.

The view from the line wasn't bad.

Still waiting.
These nerds found chairs.
Liam and I spent most of the time in Water lilies room looking for frogs.

The museum also has a bunch of Picassos, Renoirs, Cezannes Matisses.

Gretchen liked the art.

I like this lumpy headed dude.

I was the last one up the stairs.

Ping Pong Park

In front of the apartment on Rue Pasteur, Liam is jumping.
Dylan is too cool for the park.
Look at that toss.
Liam is a tough competitor.
Dylan has a very laid back style of play.

Who wants the ball?
Strategy meeting.
Game on.

Spinning.
Easy rider.

Time to go.
