G and i went to a dinner party near La Defense last night. We had to take the tramway line 2 for the first time. We also found out that La Defense is in zone three on the rer which meant turnstiles had to be jumped by those of us without NavGo, just like a real Parisian.
Anyway, this was the view upon exiting the tramway, you can't quite see the Eiffel Tower because of the lights.
This is the view from the apt window, pretty awesome.
Gretchen's birthday was celebrated by this kick ass cake. It's a billion chocolate crapes with creamy stuff between each one smothered in chocolate.
Which idiot is drinking beer at a wine party? Oh, that's me.

Part of the group. Jeremy has a pilots license and flies every week, i've been invited along. Laurel is one year ahead of G in the VLS program, this is her party. I'm married to G. Marie did the exchange from Cergy to VLS, she sits for the French bar in a month. She and Jeremy live two blocks from us right off of Leon Blum.
Jeremy and Marie gave us a ride home(being neighbors and all) in a Car, a real car, first time i've been in a car since i got here.
