Opera

We took the 3 to Opera to see the christmas lights on some big department store.
We had to check out the regular cultured stuff first like statues!!
It was horrifically crowded.
More culture, this time old buildings!!! That's the opera.
And then on to the lights!

Here we go into the madding crowds. That lady in the pink coat is working the cig.
Ohhhhhh
Ahhhh. There were several elaborately decorated windows but the crush of the crowd didn't allow me to get out my camera, instead i held onto kids.

Bio party

Liam attended a birthday party in the fancy 17th on saturday. The parents of the birthday girl rented out a restaurant and the chef gave the kids a cooking lesson.
These kids were not invited.
When asked if the cooking was fun Liam said "it was just work". The spoils were two chocolate and fruit filled crepes, an awesome chocolate chip muffin thing and a fruit and cheese kabob.
These last two pictures are out of order. One interesing note Liam specifically requested "the blue shirt with the bug thing on it". Liam doesn't do alot of lap sitting.
Looks like a small forest of pines taken over by bag worms.

Antique Market

Saturday and Sunday found an antique market where the normal market sets up during the week. We hauled the kids down to check it out, Gretchen and i took some pictures.

Naked manikins for sale. There were actually several manikins of undetermined age around.
Look at how cranky that old lady looks.
Awesome junk. You wouldn't believe the number of old knobs that were on hand.

I found a book in English!! Philip K. Dick no less, gotta live that paranoid sci-fi.
Creepy marionettes.

Art chairs, i'm fairly sure this wasn't an antique.
Bikes!!!

Yeah

Google maps did a street view thing for our neighborhood in the last week or so, it's pretty cool.

Friday random stuff

Why does he sleep like this? It really bothers me.

I think i've said it before, Dylan is not good at sharing the umbrella.
Liam is out of school.
Dylan stood on this thing for 15 minutes giggling the entire time.

Wednesday is a half day for crafts

Today the crew made paper chains and snowflakes while watching Home Alone and the Muppets Family Christmas. Dylan was really much happier with his job of gluing then he appears here.
These two were in charge of the cutting, they also did most of the arguing.

Cold Market

The weather has decidedly turned cold, only a piping hot CHEESE SANDWICH can keep us warm as we shop at the marche. Dylan no longer yells cheese sandwich at the cheese sandwich guy if you were wondering.

Lots of Christmas stuff has shown up at the marche lately.
Dylan waits for his sandwich to heat up. Notice i didn't say patiently.

Dylan contemplates his reflection.
